In His Second Term, Obama Will Focus On the Drug War
Obama should cautiously propose drug law reforms by emphasizing treatment over imprisonment, as Chris Christie has done in New Jersey.
Obamacare is the only accomplishment the President can justly claim to be exceptional. Everything else has been a mild improvement of Clinton-era policies. If Obama vowed to undertake another exceptional reform effort in his second term, progressive support could surge overnight. Unfortunately, I doubt this will happen as I’ve seen no confirmation of this article’s claim beyond the rumored thoughts of anonymous “aides” and “associates.”
